do you think a harris bipod adapter #3 will work on my blr?

Not sure what a "harris bipod adapter #3" is, but if you have a front sling stud on the rifle, you can attach a bipod to it.

it's the model #. i do, but it's noy directly under forend, its under barrel at the end of the forend.

See the post above your last one, the picture fits that description to a "T". I don't know if that particular adaptor will work but I have no question that there is one out there that will. Maybe look at the packaging or try the manufacturer's website for information. Failing that, either take your gun with you and try for fit or buy the adaptor, take it home, try it, and bring back if it does not work.

k. btw, how well do you think the blr with 30-06 will do at 300yrds. i know it's no bolt but i here good things.

The '06 certainly has enough power to do the job at 300 yards.... that leaves just 2 things:

1 - The rifle.... can it hold an acceptable group at that range?

2 - The shooter.... given the best rifle in the world, some guys still can't hit a circus tent at 300 yards.

Between you and the rifle, when you can no longer confidently place ALL of your shots on a paper plate, you have just exceeded your maximum range. Also, this is from field positions... you ain't gonna be hunting from a bench with sandbags.
