Has anyone tried this "New" powder in their rifles especially the T/C Encore 50cal. If you did,what grains,bullet(s)and primers did you use? Was it better than your previous powder(more accurate,more velocity,cleaner burning,more shots between cleaning the bore,easier clean up afterwards,etc.) .Thanx guys in advance,Slugnut

I shoot Blackhorn 209 and it is everything, that they advertise. Shot 15 times with a Remington ML with cleaning rifle, when did clean, cleaned it like a Smoke-less Rifle. Very accurate with 100 Gr 209 and 200 Gr TC Shockwaves.

My impression and understanding was the opposite, that the muzzle loader designed 209 primers were not as hot as the standard shotgun 209 primer.It was my understanding that the muzzle loader designed 209 primers were "tamed down" to reduce the amount of fouling around the breech plug.It is every thing that's claimed.Non-corrosive does not mean that it protects the bore only that it does not cause a problem you still need to oil the bore occasionally,and clean and put a good oil or preservative on for storage.
