I think that the Browning bl-22 Classic (Grade II) with the octagon barrell is one of the nicest .22's "out there" what do you all think?

I agree. I played with one last weekend, although I didn't get to shoot it. My Winchester 9422 is awfully sweet, though.

I have my eye on the BL-22s big sister, the BLR in .308 Win.

The BL-22 is more like the kind of guns that Browning was founded on: hard working simple guns. I love the BL-22. And the Classic (Grade II) is no doubt a gem.

The BL-22 IMHO is the finest lever action .22 ever made. The extended octagonal barrel is just a bonus.

Agreed! Awesome gun! My favorite feature is the trigger/lever relationship.

I love the looks of that gun, too. I would have bought one on the spot when I saw it last year except for one thing. I hate the sights! I don't think I could ever shoot it well enough with those buckhorn sights to truly enjoy it. I'll also have to stick with my Winchester 9422.

I have a bl-22 in grade 1 with Eley high velocity hollow points it will shoot under .5 of an inch all day long at 60 yards.
