Who casts their own or buy cast bullets for their hunting guns?
I used to load cast bullets but stopped due to excessive lead fouling.
Now I know that is not a problem if you slug and size your barrel to get proper bullet fit.
I wish I still had my old marlin in 444.

Sorry I have not been around.
The Marlin got traded as when I owned it I did not cast bullets for it and off the shelf bullets came apart at the velocities was loading at.I should have reduced the loads and kept the rifle as it was VERY accurate.
Now that I cast my bullets I bet I would have a super killer in that 444 Marlin.
Also Hornady started making stouter bullets 300 gr just for faster rifles like the 444.
