I am shooting a M-98 bcd4 battle dress bring back. The 8mm is a great round and can be loaded to 30-06 vel. The steel buttplate thumps me thou. A big goose egg on my shoulder.
I am loading 170gr sp Speer w/IMR 4064. Shoots real well w/open sights. I am going to try some 150's and Horn 170rn too.

    Anybody else loading/shooting an 8mm?

Anybody have the Rem 700 classic in 8mm?

I have a Remington classic in 8mm. I am loading a 170 grain Hornady RN at just over 2,700FPS. The rifle is extremely accurate.

    Dean,

Try the Hornady 195 gr interlock. It was made for the 8X57! IMR 4064 is a good accuracy powder.
