Any body have any experience with this gun? I am looking at it in a 270 wsm. The gun is really light (under 6 lbs I believe) so how much will the recoil increase over a standard gun. I believe it menitons a special stock that cuts recoil is it true? What kind of accuracy should I expect from this gun? Are the inprovements worth an extra $700 over the traditional A-bolt? What kind of difference does the boss make? I know this is a lot of questions so any and all help is welcome.

Skog,
Someone else will have to answer most of your questions, but I was on the bench next to a guy who was shooting the 270wsm yesterday. It didn't seem to have as much recoil as my 308. The rifle he was shooting was a Savage 110. I have seen 2 different guns of the same caliber but different manufacturer kick entirely different. One will knock your hat off and the other feels like a 22. The only thing this guy had against this rifle was the cost of the ammo. Does it do all that much more than a 270 win? Can you get the old reliable 270 for less? How about ammo availability?Am I falling for the newest gimmick to come out? These are just a few of the questions that you'll need to answer for yourself. Sorry to play devils advocate but.....

hey partner the 270 has been around for ever and ammo is easy to find, the recoil has never been too bad with the 270,thats why I like it,I never should have traded mine away.I would only get a recoil-reducer if I was very sensitive to recoil or for a 338 win mag,for me it's a waste of money on a 270.the A-Bolt is a good gun,but can't you get it in the regular 270 ? The WSM offers only a little performance difference over the 270,I'd go with a 270 personaly, but that is only my opinion, and opinions are like elbows,we all have more than one,and usually lean on them too much.Drop-Shot
