Has anyone tried Savage's adjustable muzzle break? to me it sounds and looks ugly, and I am worried about consistancy.

... but if it works well, I could change my mind.

I think that any brake will detract from the aesthetics of a firearm. The redirected noise and blast is the biggest problem IMO. It may not bother the bloke behind the buttplate but rest assured it will get your attention if you are at an adjacent table. More than one of us here has also enriched the local audiologist after being in the vicinity of a brake. Do a search under muzzle brakes on the forum as well and see what others think on the topic of brakes.
