Hey everyone, I've been lookin for a decent pair of binoculars. I've been looking at the Leupold gold ring 10x28 binoculars or the wind river pinnacles 10x42. Does anyone have any experience w/ either model? and are they worth the extra money? I can only spend up to about 400$ and I have heard about pentax and some others what do you guys use? Thanx for the help I prefer something thats 10x magnification w/ a fairly large objective thanx for any advice and/or opinions you can give me.

My son in law bought the Leo 10x42 wind river this past summer and used them for summer evening observation and hunting. he was quite pleased with them. they outperformed the Simmons 10x40 I had at my cottage by a long shot.
