A question about Canulars. The concentric trench that runs around the diameter a bullet denoting where the crimp should be.

Eh, Do I HAVE to use em? Cause my 200rnds of 150gr rem corlok came in and they have the trench. But my gun doesn't have a magazine, and I'm not using a compressed load. Can I just ignore the trench?

Sorry Cook, I just reread the post and realized I misunderstood your question.
NO you don't have to use the cannelures. If you can seat them out further for your rifle thats fine, just ignore them. They are usually put around the bullet at a point where they would be used for factory specs.
    Again, sorry for the misunderstanding.

oh no problems, the trench cannulur thing I ignored with your advice and more searching on the web. No problems. Yeah, I found out for sure from an article on the web that said you only need to use them if you use a magazine, or have a compressed load.
