Liv2hunt,
My wife has one of the Browning Medallions in 243WSSM. The wood and blueing on this gun is fantastic. Shooting wise it's about average. One of my"kids" has one in the hunter series. It's a 243 win and has a fine piece of wood and the barrel and action has a matte finish. It shoots great! of course this was with my pet load for 243win.I can't get used to the bolts on either of these rifles. They just feel funny to me but that might be because I'm used to Mauser type actions and Remingtons. I do not like the box magazines on these guns! They are hard to remove(it might be because they're new) and hard to load. If you try to load one shell by just dropping it into the action,IT AIN"T GONNA WORK!! You have to push it into the mag.If you try without doing this, the shell will get jammed into the back barrel where it's screwed into the action.
Before any one gets started on me,Yes I realize these are piddly little things but he asked for the opinions.
Would I buy one ? Yes! They're very well made and offered in a number of calibers and variations.
