hunter wicked optics?

I have a friend that has one of their rifle scopes and a spotting scope. They fall into the 'Okay' catagory for me but I would not purchase them. I just can't do second quality optics on a hunting rifle. I have heard that they are designed by ex-burris engineers and are made in the orient. In fairness, he likes both and they seem to do him fine at the range.
