Funny thing, Last night i could not sleep. I was thinking about small game season later in the year and how some game get spooked when my son and I approach with our shotguns. Centerfire not allowed in small game. My .22 not flat enough trajectory for some shots I need to take. So I kept thinking, "I want a 17 HMR. So I started going through the different brands in my mind. I have heard from my H&R brothers how accurate their "Handis" are. I need to get one. I was going to get a "Mortie Sporter" first but will get the 17 HMR first now.

I wouldn't mind one but I'm not sure about expensive ammo that can't be re-loaded (not that I reload yet anyhow but I will  and I save shells).
Wish one of you blokes with a .17HMR could send a round to me, I don't have one in my collection and can't find anyone here who shoots one (I may end up buying a box just to get one  ).

Hey MarlandS, ammo that "went through the washing machine"  I've done that with all sorts of things, the worst was a couple of small non-gem grade Sapphires  the machine didn't like it at all  (they are one of the hardest most abrasive minerals).
Thank's I'll pm you tomorrow, do you have a Eley .25 BB cap ? if not we could swap (I just got an 1900's ish box of them still half full).

Irish, no I don't have a .25 BB cap, but isn't that kind of valuable to swap for few (one or two for you and a couple of traders) current production rounds that I have several dozen of?
I mean, I'm not going to say "no I don't want it" because I do , but I don't want to rip you off either.
