   I just bought a J.C. Higgins model 45 cal. 30-30 lever action with an 19.5 inch barrel, the serial no. is U11934, is it made by marlin? do you know the year? any Idea of value? Thanks, John

   I took the number at pugged into a Marlin search at http://www.savage99.com/winchester1894_dates.htm and it said late '60, but I don't know if that is the same for J.C.
