wooohooo I just bought my first new gun in a while. I had originally put an order in for a ruger #1 in .375 H&H but was then told I would have to wait 6 months so to hell w/ that I went to the gun dealer and handled every rifle he had I didnt care what the caliber I wanted a new one so I ended up w/ a remington 700 CDL in .270 Its soooo smooth and it locks up nice and tight and had a nice hunk of wood on it the only gun I say that even came close was a tikka or a sako? i cant remember but it locked up NICE and it was smooth but I thought for a grand it had some crap wood and I didnt think the finish on the rifle was up to par for a 1k$ rifle so i spent a bit less and got the gun I feel was the best he had in the store

yeah but the cdl has a jeweled bolt wooo I know big deal right? the main differences are in finish and the CDL doesnt have open sights but it was only 10$ more than the BDL and i figured id get somethin different than everyone else and I liked the finish on the CDL better and it has better wood

Greatness! Congrats on the new rifle. You're on your way to having the best sickness available in this world, an addiction to guns. Be wary though, it'll cost you a few women, friends, and other thigs along the way, nothing a good dog and some shooting friends can't make up for. THen, you might even get lucky and find a gal that'll shoot with you. And that just might be heaven on earth. I found mine bout three years ago, happily married now, but enough about that, I'm gonna go get a new gun today, methinks, ya'll have inspired me.

My understanding is they took the 700 action and made it tighter, and I don't think in your lifetime you,.,,will ever shoot lloose the recoil lug in the new action.there are so many new guns and remington wanted an ace in the hole.Break the barrel in and enjoy remingtons answere to alot of newer rifles.tHEY ARE AGAINST MANY NEW AND GOOD RIFLES.BUT THEY HAVE THERE ACE IN THE HOLE.DROp-Shot
