Retrieving personal messages

:?: How long do messages stay available in the "personal message" folder? Admittedly, I am very computer-challenged, but I thought I had a message a couple weeks ago, and now I doesn't has none. :?: :?:

I think they will stay indefinately, that is, unless the sender deletes it before you are online the next time, I regularly get notices of PMs that aren't there when I log in.
