With all this talk about new rifles, old rifles, rifles we've traded/sold, etc I went on a short road trip to a local (90miles away) gunshop. Thanks to everyone I put a Ruger MKII LH 30-06 in layaway at $445.
Then tonight on one of the auction sites I bought a Leupold 2.5x fixed scope for $97.50 plus shipping.
Good thing I work OT Friday night and will (hopefully) work more late next week or early the following week.
