I am looking at purchasing one of these. I'm not too concerned with the price as much as the overall performance. The caliber I have chosen is 270 Winchester. Anyone use this rifle in the field? Looking for info. Thanks in advance.

Will the Remington 700 scope bases fit this action?

I own and shoot 4 Weatherby rifles. 2 Mark V's, .338-378 in a Accumark, and a Mark V DeLuxe in .460 Weatherby. 2 Vanguards, .30-06, and .300 Weatherby Magnum. I have to say they are the most accurate bolt action rifles I own. I have 4 Remington 700's, 3 Browning A-Bolts, and a Ruger Stainless Model 77 and none are as accurate as the Weatherbys. I would purchase another Weatherby in a heartbeat. Bill T.

Well, I messed up at the range. Shot the barrel too hot and ran out of sunlight Sunday before the season opener in WV.

But, it performed flawlessly on the stand. Two one shot kills dropped in their tracks with perfectly placed shots last week.

I really like the rifle. I'm shooting 130gr Federal Premium Sierra Boattails. Love the round. Very hard hits and quarter / half dollar exit wounds.

I'll take another trip to the local range and sight it in proper...........I'll let y'all know.
